Would you recommend Club Med Magna Marbella as a destination?
Absolutely! Firstly, the location is great if you’re travelling with a baby - we got a quick flight from Ireland to Malaga and then Club Med arranged a short transfer to the hotel. It was seamless. We loved that it was located 10 mins from Marbella Old Town and less than 15 from Puerto Banus so It meant we got to explore a little bit of the local area as well.
Facilities wise, the resort caters so well to those travelling with a baby, but also has a variety of activities and entertainment for adults too!
How did you spend a typical day at Club Med Magna Marbella?
Our day always started at the breakfast buffet (which was incredible) and then we would either hang out as a family or drop Jude off at Baby Club before 9 so that we could do a tennis or padel lesson. I’d never played padel before going to Club Med, I really enjoyed it. We would then go to the driving range and fit in some pool time before lunch. I loved that at the buffet restaurant they have a baby corner stocked with baby food, so it made it so easy for us with our son while we were visiting.
After lunch we would head to a different pool (there are 5 here), maybe watch the circus acts or a beach volley game and head to the playground. Then we would get ready for dinner and the night-time entertainment.
No day or night was the same in Club Med, there is such a variety of activities, food and entertainment - it really does make every day feel exciting.
What was your room like at the resort?
It was perfect, super clean and bright. It was also kitted out with all of the baby items we needed (a cot, a baby bath, a changing mat, kettle, bottle warmer) which made our stay stress-free! There was plenty of wardrobe space, an empty fridge and a very comfy bed. We also had a beautiful balcony with views overlooking the mountains.
Tell us about the food and drink available at the resort!
This really blew us away. The quality and the variety was just incredible. There were specialty dishes each day, a fresh pasta bar, a salad bar, a pizza oven, fresh fish, unlimited ice-cream.. just to name a few!
We also dined in the Gourmet restaurant for brunch and dinner and it was lovely to have that experience as well. The drinks were also delicious, the effort the staff put into preparing them was impressive.
What is your favourite memory from the resort?
For me, it was the quality family time we got to have. We didn’t have to worry about cooking, cleaning, tidying (which there is a lot of with a baby) so it meant we got more time together as a family. We got to experience and try new activities and we also got some time off to relax. It was the perfect mix of an active and relaxing holiday.
