Cancún Mexico

We had a great time at club med Cancún! For families with young kids, I don’t know what more you can ask for. It was a little hard to find info in the reviews, so here is some of the things I wanted to know in advance:

We stayed in 2 connecting standard rooms. There are up to 3 floors. The family building has elevators, the standard building we stayed in did not. each room had 2 single beds and a daybed, but in one room the beds were combined to make a king bed. Everything was clean and the cleaning service was great. You can request extra water on the app.

The resort property is beautiful. The family pool, water park, and sports courts feel very new and are so fun. We never had any problem finding chairs or space. It is about a 10min walk (well for us, with our kids) from the family pool area to the main pool area. There are golf carts that will give you a ride if you don’t want to walk.

The food is great. The buffet has a lot of variety and there are always basics for picky kids. Dishes are presented beautifully. The staff is friendly and helpful. We loved dinner at both Taco Arte and La Estancia. Make a reservation on the app the day prior. Both pool bars have attached kitchens where you can get snacks when the restaurants are closed. They also set out some sort of lunch (paella, hot dogs etc) by the pool daily.

The kids club is the highlight! If you’re coming for the week with kids, I’d recommend arriving and leaving on Saturday. There is no kids club on Saturday, and they have special activities that each day. We were sad to miss some of the shows and activities on days we weren’t staying! You drop kids off at 8:45am. They need a bag with a swimsuit, sunscreen, bug spray, and a hat. The staff is so warm and friendly. Thank you so much to Cynthia with the 4-5 group who was so patient and kind to my daughter. And we loved the 6-7 team as well. There was one guy in particular (sorry I am horrible with names!) who was with 6-7 last week but I saw him with 8-10 on the day we left this week who always greeted my son by name any time we saw him around the resort. It was such a nice gesture that really made him feel welcome and appreciated. In the morning they rotate between circus, archery, and swimming. In the afternoon they have different activities each day. They also have special show each evening. You definitely want to be there on Friday to see the kids put on an adorable show for the families. Thank you also to the teen club staff! They are more of a come and go situation but there is a lot for teens to participate in, but never any pressure if they don’t want to. There are French, English, and Spanish speakers on staff and kids speaking all three languages.

Thank you also to Silver and the circus team! They really encourage the kids and help them have fun. There is a specific time for each age group. It would be nice if they could have a time for families/open to multiple ages - it would be good for families with kids in different age groups who aren’t doing kids club. But it wasn’t a big deal and may be due to staffing or safety.

Overall we had a great time and would love to come back! Everything is so nice and so many details thought of in advance so you can just relax and have fun.

I was a little worried based on some reviews but honestly I don’t know what more you could ask for as a family with kids!

We had a wonderful week at Club Med Cancun!
Our stay at Aguamarina was fantastic – the rooms were spacious, modern, and spotless.

The food was delicious and varied, with plenty of choices every day. Our favorite dinner spots were the main restaurant and Taco Arte, both offering great service and flavorful dishes.

The snorkeling was amazing, with a beautiful reef right off the beach – we even spotted a huge barracuda! The sailing was also fantastic, though we would have loved a slightly larger sailing area to explore.

We joined two excursions:
• to Isla Mujeres, which was beautiful (we just wished we had more free time on the island), and
• to Tulum and the cenote, which was absolutely stunning.
A big thank you to our guides, Adrien and Ludo, for making both trips so enjoyable!

The pools and beaches are gorgeous and perfectly maintained — a true paradise to relax and unwind.

But what really makes Club Med Cancun so special is the extraordinary staff. From housekeeping to the kitchen teams, everyone is friendly, smiling, and impressively multilingual — they effortlessly switch between French, English, and Spanish.

A huge thank you to the GO team, who made our entire stay unforgettable with their positive energy and good vibes.
Special mention to Pierre, Sander, Ines, Tais, and Noémie from the Kids Club — our children absolutely loved them!
And of course, Jack Power, the unstoppable machine of enthusiasm, and Pedro, our favorite golf cart driver, Andre… and many more— always kind and helpful.

All in all, it was a perfect vacation in a breathtaking setting.

Nice large, clean, perfectly serviced and not to crowded resort. Plenty of activities and good family rooms. Positive; Adan, Pia, Sara, Silver and Remy of the gymnastics team did a great job taking our kids to a higher level. Regular golfcar transports are available to take you from one end of the resort to the other, with cheerfull driver. Attention point, kids below 10years old are not allowed to do all watersports. Point of Improvement; the dresscode in the evening should be stronger “enforced”. Allthough the dresscode was mentioned plenty of times many guest just couldn’t care less. That might have to do with those guests, but Club Med could be more strict on that.

This is my 7th or 8th time going to this location first time with no kids and once again didn’t disappoint actually was better than I expected Jason chef du village was everywhere super nice very caring about our well being in the club. The shows were amazing major upgrade from the last time I was there.. White night in particular was very chic.. If you play pickleball you will love it tourney everyday with variations. The lessons were awesome, thanks Juanito I’ll keep working on my back end.. All around great experience meeting new friends, good food great activities great staff. I absolutely recommend and don’t pay attention to the weather forecast cancun wether changes on a dime it was supposed to rain everyday of my stay only saw rain once.. I will be back!!
