Val Thorens Sensations France

We had a great stay! The overall experience was terrific! Most of it is attributed to the amazing staff of the club. Starting from the reception, ski service, ski instructors, and all the way through the dining and entertainment team. Everyone was genuinely willing to make our experience even better and gave us a feeling that our wellbeing truly matters. The dining experience was wonderful! The selection, variety and the taste were wonderful! In my opinion the chef restaurant is a bit overrated and we preferred eating at the buffet and having snacks at the bar which was great too. One issue we had was the bed, which was really two single beds put together. The beds were moving creating a “hole” in the middle. This really badly affected our sleep quality. So if you’re looking for normal double/queen bed, you might want to make sure in advance. BTW, when we complained the staff at the reception jumped out of their skin to help, but there were no available options. Overall great stay, highly recommended!

This was our third visit to Club Med at Val Thorens and we are already planning our fourth. It is a magical place and a skiers’ dream.

2nd time at this Club Med and it didn't disappoint. Food was of the usual high standard - plenty of choice for everyone. Bar service was good, especially Moses, always with a smile. Rooms were cleaned to a high standard every day, no complaints. Bed was comfortable. Some of our group did lessons, including expert /off piste and had a great experience with the ESF instructors. All in all, great value for money.

This Club Med is the best one we have been to for skiing.
We travelled with our children aged 12 and 15 who are intermediate / good skiers.
We have been to many Club Meds for ski holidays ;Val Disere. La Rosier.Les Arcs. Alp d’hues. Samoens. La Plagne2100 etc. and knew what to expect.
Staff:
Val Thorens has exceeded my expectations and impressed us.
Chef De Village, Boris, is the best chef de village I came across.
He helped us with our questions and requests immediately.
He was everywhere, all the time, looking after clients and making himself visible. He also DJ’d successfully at the apres ski meet up and the night party.
I even saw him helping a lady move her luggage.
Club Med management; if you are reading this, look after that man.
His attitude transcends to the staff and they are all extremely helpful with a smile on their faces.
I cannot recall all of them but Fatima at breakfast with her sunny side eggs cooking ability to perfection.
Moses bringing us rose wine,when we sat down to the lounge to discover that it was closed on Sunday, rather than simply suggesting us to go to the upper floor.
Ski room staff with their knowledge and ability to advise.
Bar staff working at top speed to minimise wait times and with a smile on their faces.
Rooms:
We had interconnecting rooms that were comfortable and quiet with good water pressure and temperature. Usual upmarket decor of Club Med. The wrist key is a contactless accessory you receive on arrival and acts as your room and ski locker key.
No need to worry about misplacing your room card.
Food:
This was the best selection of food we came across any club med. There were good choices cooked fresh and with minimal queues. This must be due to the fact that the club does not have a kids club and little ones slowing down self service are not there.
Variety of food choice and quality was very satisfying.
Skiing;
The club has a good warm ski room with lockers and you need to walk no more than 20 meters to be on the piste. A true ski in ski out experience.
The 3 valleys ski area is awesome and being high up at Val Thorens in spring is an advantage.
Would we go back?
Absolutely. I’m planning on next year’s ski holiday there.

Amazing experience! I had so much fun over the week at the club especially with the service from Eden at the bar! Overall great atmosphere, very friendly staff that always available to help! Also the club facilities are very well maintained and clean.
